~~~ A Person who always Loves You ~~~
I was a just-born and she was Twenty-Five ,
Though we were we, we were one.
I would cry out in Latin and she would respond in Greek,
I would learn nothing but she never got tired to teach.
I was surrounded by monsters eager to pull my cheek,
but they would vanish the moment i was wet and weep.
She would come running and hold me in her arms,
as if i had won the contest of the charms.
Now I was able to walk and chew,
hey, i was two.
I and she could now understand each other,
i was her everything and she needed no other.
I would try to walk and fall down,
But knowing she was with me, the fear of getting hurt was now gone.
We still could not converse that effectively,
But she would understand my needs so easily.
I could now roam about free,
because now i have turned three.
I was ready to join a new world,
my academic life was now gonna mould.
She would dress me as best as a prince,
but when i would come back, she would need at least an hour to rinse.
I was now able to talk,
I was a ferry and she was my dock.
I still remember the child, whose shirt I had tore,
Hey buddy, i have turned four.
I now came home a little late,
Nevertheless finding her waiting at the gate.
She would hug me and carry me in her arms,
it felt like flying through the farms.
We now did the homework together,
i would spoil the home and she used to work.
Years passed and now i was fifteen, and with each year i would forget to
lean.
I wouldn’t care for what she said, because now i had become mean.
She would ask me to study for a good future,
but i was busy in a different culture.
Now i had many shes in my life,
i dreamed of having one of them as my wife.
I changed a lot which she did not teach,
She would try to hug me but i was out of reach.
She still waited for me at the gate,
but i would look at her with utmost hate.
She would be awake till late in the night,
because i wasn’t home, i was in a fight.
She had so much to scold, but she never did say,
hoping to find me better the next day.
Time went on and now i am grown,
lost in the world of my own.
I and she, between us have a river,
I have left her for my career.
When i was young, for me, she sacrificed her ambitions,
but i don’t care, i now have my own mission.
I am not with her now, i am in a different city,
she is so old now but i don’t even pity.
She needs me now but i am nowhere to find,
in the race for appraisal, i have become blind.
In a few years from now, i will be two,
there will be in my life someone new.
Then i’ll forget even to bother,
i am her son and she my Mother.
A Touching Story…..
A Touching Story
    My wife called, ‘How long will you be with that newspaper? Will you come here and make your darling daughter eat her food?’.
    I tossed the paper away and rushed to the scene. My only daughter Sindu looked frightened.
    Tears were welling up in her eyes. In front of her was a bowl filled to its brim with Curd Rice. Sindu is a nice child, quite intelligent for her age.She has just turned eight. She particularly detested Curd Rice. My mother and my wife are orthodox, and believe firmly in the ‘cooling effects’ of Curd Rice! I cleared my throat, and picked up the bowl. ‘Sindu, darling,why don’t you take a few mouthful of this Curd Rice?Just for Dad’s sake, dear.
    Sindu softened a bit, and wiped her tears with the back of her hands. ‘OK, Dad. I will eat – not just a few mouthfuls, but the whole lot of this. But, you should…’ Sindu  hesitated.
    ‘Dad, if I eat this entire curd Rice, will you give me whatever I ask for?’……. ….Oh sure, darling’…. ‘Promise? ‘…….. ………
    ‘Promise’. I covered the pink soft hand extended by my daughter with mine, and clinched the deal.
    ‘Ask Mom also to give a similar promise’, my daughter insisted.
    My wife put her hand on Sindu’s, muttering ‘Promise’.
    Now I became a bit anxious. ‘Sindu dear, you shouldn’t insist on getting a computer or any such expensive items.Dad does not have that kind of money right now. OK?’
    ‘No, Dad. I do not want anything expensive’.Slowly and painfully, she finished eating the whole quantity.
    I was silently angry with my wife and my mother for forcing my child eat something that she detested. After the ordeal was through, Sindu came to me with her eyes wide     with expectation. All our attention was on her……… ….’Dad, I want to have my head shaved off, this Sunday!’ was her demand.
    ‘Atrocious!’ shouted my wife, ‘A girl child having her head shaved off? Impossible!’ ‘Never in our family!’ my mother rasped.’She has been watching too much of television. Our culture is getting totally spoiled with these TV programs!’
    Sindu darling, why don’t you ask for something else? We will be sad seeing you with a clean-shaven head.’
    ‘No, Dad. I do not want anything else’, Sindu said with finality.
    ‘Please, Sindu, why don’t you try to understand our feelings?’ I tried to plead with her.
    ‘Dad, you saw how difficult it was for me to eat that Curd Rice’. Sindu was in tears. ‘And you promised to grant me whatever I ask for.Now, you are going back on your words. Was it not you who told me the story of King Harishchandra, and its moral that we should honor our promises no matter what?’
    It was time for me to call the shots. ‘Our promise must be kept.’
    ‘Are you out your mind?’ chorused my mother and wife.
    ‘No. If we go back on our promises, she will never learn to honor her own. Sindu, your wish will be fulfilled.’
    With her head clean-shaven, Sindu had a round-face, and her eyes looked big and beautiful.
    On Monday morning, I dropped her at her school. It was a sight to watch my hairless Sindu walking towards her classroom. She turned around and waved. I waved back with a smile.
    Just then, a boy alighted from a car, and shouted, ‘Sinduja, please wait for me!’
    What struck me was the hairless head of that boy. ‘May be, that is the in-stuff’, I thought.
    ‘Sir, your daughter Sinduja is great indeed!’ Without introducing herself, a lady got out of the car, and continued,’ That boy who is walking along with your daughter is my son Harish. He is suffering from… … leukemia.’ She paused to muffle her sobs. Harish could not attend the school for the whole of the last month. He lost all his hair due to the side effects of the chemotherapy. He refused to come back to school fearing the unintentional but cruel teasing of the schoolmates. ‘Sinduja’ visited him last week, and promised him   that she will take care of the teasing issue. But, I never imagined she would sacrifice her lovely hair for the sake of my son!
    Sir, you and your wife are blessed to have such a noble soul as your daughter.
    I stood transfixed. And then, I wept. ‘My little Angel, you are teaching me how self-less real love is!’
    *The happiest people on this planet are not those who live on their own terms but are those who change their terms for the ones whom they love..*
Real Love…. Really not a Human….
October 12, 2007 at 12:32 pm | Posted in Friends, General, Grievances, Interest, Nature, Public | 1 Comment
Who said only humans know what love is? Yes, animals are more deluded because of their capacity of their physical body, but
occasionally some of them might be able show us the love that we have forgotten on
our ‘busy road’. Just like this story.
this is real touching…
Hey, wake up! wake up!
A dog was knocked down by a car and died on the middle of the road. Later, another dog is
seen beside the corpse of the dog, he tried to wake his friend up using his leg.
Let’s move to the safer side of the road…i will move you to the safer side!
When his attempts to wake his friend failed, he tried to push his friend to the side of the
road. But the weight of his friend was proven too heavy for him.
Anyone help, tell me what to do.
Though the traffic is busy and dangerous, he just will not go away from his friend. Just
stand beside his friend howling and crying.
A lot of people saw this incident and feel very touched. How even a dog can show his loyalty and love to his friend.
I’m really sorry… for not adding the Photo.. I was not able to add the Photos of the same into this Blog..
Also the Photo is so touching ….
